Celebrating our Patron: St. Joseph and Blessed Dominic Barberi

On 19th March we celebrate the Feast Day of St. Joseph who is the Patron of our Passionist Province. On this day we also bring to an end our novena for the cause of Blessed Dominic Barberi.

In this time of great need, we ask for the intercession of St. Joseph, Protector of Jesus and Mary, that he will protect all of those most in need of his care.  We ask too that Blessed Dominic Barberi, who so loved this country, would be a source of comfort for all who are sick, anxious and fearful at this time.

You may like to join us with the following prayers:

“O Saint Joseph, Patron of our Province and Protector of the Holy Family; assist us by your powerful intercession, and obtain for us from your Divine Son health and spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. You knew all of the tenderness and anxieties of being a husband and a father; and in this time of need you hear our prayers.  Through your intercession we pray that our Heavenly Father may strengthen and protect us, so that we may live in Hope of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

“God our Father, we thank you for the witness and ministry of Blessed Dominic Barberi in this country which he loved so dearly. We pray that you will, in your goodness, grant a miracle through the intercession of Blessed Dominic, so that the Church may further honour him on earth and that many more people will come to know and to invoke the help of your faithful worker. Blessed Dominic Barberi: pray for us. Amen.”
